Poor posture can cause headaches, cluster headaches, migraines and create cervical vertebrae tensions…
A headache known as cephalalgia is pain anywhere in the region of the head or neck. It can be a symptom of a number of different conditions of the head and neck.
Headaches can result from a wide range of causes Brain tissue itself is not sensitive to pain as it lacks pain receptors. But pain is caused by disturbance of the pain-sensitive structures around the brain.
Cluster headaches are a combination of the pain sensitive structures inflaming concurrently
Migraine headaches are a neurological disease characterized by recurrent moderate to severe headaches often in association with a number of autonomic nervous system symptoms.
Migraines are believed to be due to a mixture of environmental and genetic factors. About two-thirds of cases run in families DNA.
Changing hormone levels may also play a role, as migraines affect slightly more boys than girls before puberty, but about two to three times more women than men. The risk of migraines usually decreases during pregnancy.
The exact mechanisms of migraine are not known. It is, however, believed to be a neurovascular disorder effecting the pain-sensitive structures.
There are nine areas of the head and neck have these pain-sensitive structures, –
- The cranium (the periosteum of the skull),
- The muscles,
- The nerves,
- The arteries and veins,
- The subcutaneous tissues,
- The eyes,
- The ears,
- The sinuses
- The mucous membranes
Headache is a non-specific symptom, which means that it has many possible causes, including fatigue and sleep deprivation, stress, the effects of medications and recreational drugs, viral infections and common colds, head injury, rapid ingestion of a very cold food or beverage, dental or sinus issues, and many more.
However a large percentage of the ‘pain’ symptoms known as ‘headaches’, build up due to skeletal dysfunctions. Indeed the negative weight loads created while moving or resting through the poor posture and mechanics of dynamic movement, brings on muscle tightness and fatigue, inflammation and nerve impingements, which in turn effect the sensitive structures within the neck and head.
The CiONE Postural Rejuvenation programs radically change and stabilized the skeletal structure while standing and moving dynamically – thus minimizing the stress and impingements on the facets of the spine – which in turn then eradicates the postural headaches…
